Volkswagen never sold America a Golf R wagon. A seller in Chilliwack, British Columbia, built one anyway. The 2019 Golf Alltrack on Cars & Bids is live, no reserve, and bid to $18,000. The clock runs out Friday, August 14 at 1:57 p.m. ET.
This is not a factory car. The 1.8-liter turbo and the 6-speed DSG that left Puebla with it are gone. In their place: a built Golf R EA888 2.0-liter with forged rods and pistons, and a built Golf R DSG with race clutches. The listing’s dyno sheet says 522 horsepower and 444 lb-ft on E60. Power still goes to all four wheels. The Alltrack already had 4Motion. Nobody had to invent all-wheel drive. They just had to feed it.

A Golf R donor, not a badge kit
Seller brokiegarage is listing it for the owner, who bought the wagon in February 2023. The swap happened about 3,000 miles ago. The cluster shows 94,383 km. The listing rounds that to 58,700 miles. Clean British Columbia title. VIN 3VWH17AU9KM525100. Carfax lists no accidents. It also lists a June 2024 mileage hiccup the listing blames on converting kilometers to miles.
The seller’s pinned comment is the whole pitch. This is no longer an Alltrack. An entire Golf R donor donated everything, including the body harness. Door panels. OEM blue ambient lighting and scuff plates. A black Euro interior. Golf R leather seats with the R stitched in the backrests. Golf R steering wheel. Golf R digital cluster that still speaks metric and imperial. Pretoria 19s. Golf R front bumper. Euro Golf R wagon rear diffuser and quad tips. Painted cladding. The Alltrack roof rails and silver skirts stayed. So did the Alltrack fender badge, which is either honesty or a joke.

522 hp on E60, 168 when it left the factory
A stock 2019 Alltrack made 168 horsepower. Volkswagen sold it as a taller Golf SportWagen with cladding and a light-off-road drive mode. America got that instead of a Golf R Variant. Then Volkswagen killed the wagon. This one claims more than three times the factory number, on E60, through a body style the company no longer bothers to import.
The hardware list is the usual MQB shopping cart, just finished. Turbo Concepts TC600. Milltek Sport exhaust. Unitronic carbon intake. JDY 4-inch downpipe. Walbro 535-lph in-tank pump. CTS Turbo 980cc port injection. Supertech valves and 6 mm stem seals. TuneZilla Haldex spring. Bilstein B4 shocks and struts. CTS engine mounts and billet subframe mounts. ECS dogbone insert. The Alltrack already had the Haldex. They changed the spring and the engine that fills it.
Factory kit that survived the swap: panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, rearview camera, adaptive cruise, Fender audio, roof rails. Known flaws are small and specific. Chips on the front end. Wear on the driver’s seat. Tinted windows. Two keys, the owner’s manual, a dyno sheet, and rubber mats come with it.

Registered as stock. Bid like it isn’t.
The seller says it is still registered as a stock Alltrack under the original VIN. Insurance clerks love that sentence. The listing also says the modifications may keep it from passing emissions in some states, and that bids are binding anyway. It is a Canadian-spec wagon in Chilliwack. Importing it means taxes, tariffs, a boat, and whatever a border officer thinks “stock Alltrack” means when the bumper has an R on it.
Cars & Bids already ran this wagon in July. A listing tracker logged $19,000. Here it is again, same Deep Black Pearl paint, same story, no reserve. High bid is $18,000 with 21 bids and a few hours left. The 522 hp figure is on E60, from a sheet in the gallery, not a Volkswagen press kit. If you want a factory Golf R wagon, you are still out of luck. If you want this one, the auction is live.
