One gearbox. Six speeds.
Honda’s Civic Type R specifications sheet lists one transmission: a 6-speed manual (6MT) with Rev-Match Control. Ratios are 3.625, 2.115, 1.529, 1.125, 0.911, and 0.734. Reverse is 3.757. Final drive is 3.842. A lightweight single-mass flywheel is standard. So is an integrated LED shift light. There is no automatic on the page.
315 horsepower. Helical LSD.
The 1,996 cc turbocharged inline-four makes 315 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 lb-ft from 2,600 to 4,000. Redline is 7,000. Honda prints 25.2 psi of boost and a 9.8:1 compression ratio. A helical limited-slip differential is standard. Wheels are 19 x 9.5J matte black alloys on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/30ZR19 summer tires. Curb weight is 3,188 pounds. Brembo 4-piston aluminum front calipers clamp 13.8-inch two-piece front discs.

The sheet lists Adaptive Damper System, dual-axis MacPherson strut front suspension, and four drive modes: Comfort, Sport, +R, and Individual. Individual lets the driver set engine response, steering, suspension, engine sound, rev-match, and gauge display. Honda LogR datalogger is standard. Exterior colors on the book include Championship White, Boost Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Rallye Red, and Sonic Gray Pearl. Interior is Black/Red.
