BMW Priced the 2027 M2 Coupe at $69,500 and Kept the Clutch

BMW priced the 2027 M2 Coupe from $69,500. That is the starting MSRP on BMW USA’s current M2 Coupe page. Destination and handling are $1,350. Tax, title, and license are extra. This is the rear-wheel-drive M2 — not the limited Turbo Design Edition Autogonzo already covered, and not the new M xDrive automatic sibling.

Standard clutch, optional Steptronic

This is the clutch graf, and BMW printed it clearly. On the RWD M2 Coupe, a 6-speed manual is standard. An 8-speed M Sport Automatic / M Steptronic is available. BMW USA’s FAQ says the same thing: “The BMW M2 Coupe has a standard 6-speed manual transmission, and an available 8-speed M Sport Automatic transmission.” Three pedals come first. The paddle box is the option.

The new 2027 M2 with M xDrive is a different story. That PressClub kit fits an 8-speed M Steptronic as standard and does not put a clutch in the AWD car. If you want the stick in 2027, you want the rear-drive M2 Coupe.

473 hp, 406 lb-ft on the stick

Power is the familiar M TwinPower Turbo inline-six: 473 hp at 6,250 rpm. With the standard 6-speed manual, peak torque is 406 lb-ft between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm. BMW USA clocks 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds on the manual and 3.9 seconds on the available automatic. Top speed is limited to 155 mph, or 177 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package. Those same performance numbers track the PressClub USA technical book for the RWD M2.

Base MSRP for the RWD M2 Coupe is $69,500 before destination. The M xDrive Coupe starts at $73,600 on the same BMW USA table — automatic only. Keep the clutch, keep the rear wheels, and the factory sticker is the lower one.
