Shelby American priced the 2026 GT350/TA at $219,970. That is the starting total on shelby.com: a $163,995 Shelby package on a program-spec 2026 Mustang GT 401A manual fastback listed at $55,975. The customer buys the base chassis, ships it to the build facility, and gets it back as a limited Trans Am–inspired track weapon. Shipping, tax, title, and options are extra. Shelby’s January 23, 2026 press release says the car is only available with a six-speed manual.

Six-speed manual only. Short-throw shifter in the book.
This is the clutch graf, and Shelby did not leave an out. The official GT350/TA news page says the street-legal car “is only available with a six-speed manual transmission.” The vehicle page builds the package on a 2026 Mustang GT, 401A, manual fastback. The equipment list includes a short-throw shifter and a carbon-fiber shifter handle. There is no automatic row in the Shelby GT350/TA book — if you want one of the 70, you get three pedals.

830+ hp, 70 cars, Trans Am DNA
Shelby rates the supercharged V8 at 830+ horsepower on 93-octane fuel. Production is capped at 70 cars for 2026, built in Michigan with Turn Key Automotive. The official kit piles on Trans Am–inspired carbon aero — front splitter, dive planes, fender ducts, rockers, an adjustable Trans Am–approved rear wing, ducktail, and a rear diffuser with integrated differential cooler — plus fully adjustable remote-reservoir coil-overs, Pro-System Alcon endurance brakes, Forgeline VX1S wheels on Pirelli P Zero tires, a Truetrac limited-slip with remote pump and heat exchanger, a full carbon-fiber interior tub, and a 4130 chromoly TIG-welded four-point cage. Colors on the official page include Race Red, Adriatic Blue Metallic, Vapor Blue, Shadow Black, Oxford White, Carbonized Gray, and Orange Fury.

Post-title math
Read the fine print the way Shelby printed it. The package is post-title only. The customer supplies the base Mustang GT manual fastback, pays shipping both ways, and Shelby documents the finished car in the official Shelby Registry. The herocard PDF repeats the same split: package based on a 2026 Mustang GT, 401A, manual, fastback. $219,970 is the starting stack on Shelby’s own sticker board before destination-style extras on the donor car and anything else you add. Seventy cars. Six speeds. No automatic. That is the 2026 Shelby GT350/TA as Shelby published it.
