Infiniti priced the QX65 at $53,990 before destination and called it the next era. The March 26, 2026 press kit is the source. Fastback two-row. FX in the briefing. Built in Smyrna, Tennessee. On sale since May 12, when Infiniti said it was on retailer lots. Destination is $1,545.

A four-cylinder that wants to be an FX
The engine is a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four, the KR20DDET. 268 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. 286 lb-ft at 4,400. Compression swings from 8.0 to 14.0. Premium fuel. Nine-speed automatic with paddles. Standard Intelligent AWD. Infiniti says the shift map is sportier than the last time they used this motor. EPA is 20 city, 26 highway, 22 combined. Towing is 6,000 pounds when you buy the hitch. Ground clearance is 5.87 inches. That is not a trail number. It is a fastback number.
The old FX had a V8 if you paid. This one has a four and Active Sound Enhancement, which is Infiniti piping sportier exhaust harmonics into the cabin while Active Noise Cancellation kills the rest. They put that in the official kit. So yes, it fakes some of the noise.

Three grades, one gold paint
Official April kit pricing, before the $1,545 destination fee:
- LUXE: $53,990
- SPORT: $55,690
- AUTOGRAPH: $62,590
Infiniti’s own site, updated July 26, 2026, still lists LUXE and SPORT the same and AUTOGRAPH at $63,285. Use the kit numbers unless a window sticker says otherwise. SPORT is the blacked-out one. AUTOGRAPH is the two-tone roof, 21-inch wheels, massaging seats, and the 20-speaker Klipsch. Sunfire Red is a three-coat with gold-coated glass flecks. Infiniti says it is related to a limited GT-R red. That is the sentence they wanted in the brochure.

The cabin is two screens and a sliding bench

This is the cockpit. Dual 12.3-inch displays are standard. Google built-in is standard. Qi2 pad is standard. Cargo is 35.8 cubic feet behind the second row and 67.7 with it folded. The bench slides and reclines. Wheelbase is 114.2 inches. Length is 198.9. Curb weight is about 4,663 pounds on LUXE and 4,715 on AUTOGRAPH. The rear wiper hides in the spoiler. That is the detail Infiniti will mention at the bar.

ProPILOT Assist is on every one. Hands-off ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is an AUTOGRAPH option. Infiniti built this in Smyrna and put it on sale in May. The FX was the interesting Infiniti. This is the one they think can do that job with a turbo four and a gold-fleck paint chip.
