Nissan Priced the 2027 Z NISMO at $67,260 and Finally Gave It a Clutch

Nissan priced the 2027 Z NISMO at $67,260, and for the first time you can get it with three pedals. That comes straight from Nissan’s July 21, 2026 Nissan News pricing release, which is subtitled “Exhilarating new Z NISMO manual priced from $67,260.” The six-speed manual and the nine-speed automatic carry the same MSRP. Destination and handling is $1,325 on the official price sheet, so a manual NISMO with no options comes to $68,585.

Nissan says this isn’t just the regular manual dropped in

Here’s what the official book says about the clutch. Nissan’s pricing release says the 2027 Z NISMO “adds an available six-speed manual transmission, with a short shifter and an upgraded clutch,” and says it was added “in response to popular demand.” Nissan USA’s Z NISMO page describes the NISMO-tuned manual as a short-throw shifter paired with “an improved pressure plate and clutch.” In Nissan’s March 31 interview with the Z Car Club Association, Paul Hawson, Nissan North America’s director of Advanced Product Planning & Strategy, explained it this way: “It’s not just a cut-and-paste of the regular manual. You’ll have a different clutch and different pressure plate to handle the extra torque on the vehicle. We’ve also tuned it so the shift stroke is shorter by about 5 or 6 millimeters.” The extra torque in question is 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft from the NISMO’s twin-turbo V6. And the price is the same either way: Nissan’s table lists the 6MT and 9AT NISMO at $67,260.

Why it launched without a clutch

Nissan explains the gap itself. In the same ZCCA interview, Hawson said the manual wasn’t offered at launch “because it’s a track-focused car. If you want to go faster in a modern car, shifts are faster with an automatic transmission.” Then owners kept asking. “The big thing everyone kept talking about is the desire for a manual transmission option for Z NISMO. It’s now here,” he said. Asked what he most wanted to drive, he picked the NISMO manual: “the driver in me really wants to get my hands on a Z NISMO manual to thrash around and have some fun in.” The automatic stays on the menu. Nissan USA says the NISMO-tuned nine-speed has a Sport+ mode with up to 50% faster downshifts. Now the NISMO buyer gets to choose.

GT-R front rotors and softer rebound

The clutch isn’t the only 2027 NISMO change. Nissan’s pricing release says every 2027 Z NISMO gets two-piece iron-aluminum front brake rotors derived from the GT-R, saving 19 pounds of unsprung weight while increasing thermal capacity. Hawson told the ZCCA the car is nearly 10 pounds lighter on each side. He also said that in Nissan’s testing, the brakes ran about 100 degrees Celsius cooler after 10 laps than the previous brakes, and that the shocks were tuned for about 5% less rebound. Every 2027 Z also gets a revised fuel tank meant to keep fuel flowing during long, hard cornering, and Nissan says the Z NISMO gets a Qi2 wireless charging pad.

The official price board

Nissan’s July 21, 2026 sheet lists the 2027 Z NISMO at $67,260 with either the 6MT or the 9AT. For context, the Sport ($44,480) and Performance ($54,480) also come with either gearbox at the same price. We covered those cars when Nissan priced the 2027 Z Sport at $44,480 and kept the clutch. This post is about the NISMO. Destination is $1,325, and NISMO options on the sheet include $1,295 premium two-tone paint and a $495 Essentials Package. Nissan said the 2027 Z would reach dealers in summer 2026.

The bottom line: $67,260 for 420 horsepower, a stronger clutch and pressure plate, a shift throw about 5 to 6 millimeters shorter, and no extra charge for the manual. Nissan launched the NISMO automatic-only on the theory that track cars shift faster without a clutch pedal. Owners asked for the manual anyway, and Nissan built it.
