BMW Priced the 2026 M2 Turbo Design Edition at $82,900 and Kept Only the Clutch

BMW priced the 2026 M2 Turbo Design Edition at $82,900. That is the base MSRP on BMW’s official M2 Turbo Design Edition press kit. Destination and handling are $1,175. Tax, title, and license are extra. The factory book lists one gearbox: a six-speed manual. No Steptronic. No dual-clutch. Three pedals only.

Only the clutch in the book

This is the clutch graf, and BMW printed it in the kit. The limited Alpine White Turbo Design Edition “comes exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.” The original 2002 turbo ran a four-speed or optional five-speed stick, and the homage keeps that recipe: a plate ahead of the shifter reads “turbo” over an M stripe. Gear Shift Assistant rev-matching is in the M Setup menu if you want it. Curb weight is listed at 3,814 pounds.

Hand-painted Motorsport stripes wrap the hood and trunk. The black hood graphic spells “turbo” in mirror writing. Unique “M2 turbo” sill plates greet you when the doors open. Production started in extremely limited numbers in January 2026 after the Motul Petit Le Mans reveal at Road Atlanta.

$82,900 before destination for a 473-hp compact M coupe that refuses an automatic. That is the whole story the factory wrote.
