BMW Priced the 2027 M4 Coupe at $82,200 and Kept Only the Clutch

BMW priced the 2027 M4 Coupe from $82,200. That is the starting MSRP on BMW USA’s official M4 Coupe page. Destination and handling are $1,175. Tax, title, and license are extra. The factory book puts a six-speed manual in the base M4 Coupe exclusively. Competition and Competition xDrive drop the clutch for an 8-speed M Steptronic Sport Transmission.

Only the clutch in the base M4 Coupe book

This is the clutch graf, and BMW printed it clearly. BMW USA says performance purists get a standard 6-speed manual in the M4 Coupe, while the M4 Competition and M4 Competition xDrive run the 8-speed M Sport transmission with Drivelogic. The official technical highlights sheet lists the base car’s transmission as 6-speed, manual, with rear-wheel drive only. Three pedals are the only path into the base coupe. Competition buys you more horsepower and leaves the stick home.

What BMW stacks around the stick

Beyond the six-speed, the base M4 Coupe page stacks the M TwinPower Turbo inline-six, Adaptive M Suspension, Adaptive LED headlights, rear lights with laser technology, an available carbon-fiber roof, and available M Carbon Exterior Package and M Carbon bucket seats. It is a two-door M car that still prints a clutch as standard equipment while Competition moves you to Steptronic.
