Porsche priced the 2027 911 GT3 S/C at $273,000, plus $2,350 for delivery, processing and handling, so $275,350 before options. For that money you get a GT3 with a soft top, no back seats, and no automatic. Porsche’s U.S. press release says the S/C is “only available with the short-ratio and lightweight six-speed GT Sport manual transmission.” S/C stands for Sport Cabriolet.

Six-speed manual only
This is the clutch graf, and there is not much to argue about. The official press kit says the S/C is “equipped exclusively with a manual six-speed GT Sport transmission.” Porsche says that gearbox is about 37 lbs. lighter than the seven-speed Sport PDK offered in the GT3, which is why it counts as part of the weight-saving plan, not just a nod to purists. It has a selectable auto-blip function, very short shift travel, stronger detents, reduced cable damping, and a shortened gear lever borrowed from the 911 S/T. The ratios are the same short ones used in the GT3 coupe. There is no PDK option on the S/C at any price.

502 hp, 9,000 rpm, no roof
The engine is the GT3’s naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six, rated at 502 hp and 331 lb-ft, with a 9,000 rpm redline. It uses six individual throttle bodies, titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and dry-sump lubrication. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top track speed of 194 mph. A lightweight stainless steel Sport Exhaust with two center tailpipes is standard.

This is the first GT3 with a fully automatic convertible roof. It is the Carrera Cabriolet’s soft top with magnesium frame parts, and it opens or closes in about 12 seconds at up to 37 mph. Porsche also put the GT3’s double-wishbone front suspension in a 911 Cabriolet for the first time.
3,322 lbs. and a lot of carbon
Porsche says the S/C weighs 3,322 lbs., which makes it the lightest open-top 911 in current production. The carbon fiber doors and fenders come from the 911 S/T, and the hood is carbon too. Forged magnesium center-lock wheels, 20 inches in front and 21 in back, are standard in California Gold and save almost 20 lbs. of unsprung mass compared with the GT3 coupe’s forged aluminum wheels. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes are standard, with 410 mm front and 390 mm rear rotors, and Porsche says they save about 44 lbs. over the GT3’s standard brakes. The rear anti-roll bar, drop links, and shear plate are carbon fiber as well.

Inside, it is a strict two-seater, a first for a 911 Cabriolet. The doors open with fabric pull loops, Sport Seats Plus are standard, and folding carbon bucket seats or 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus are optional. Porsche sells a removable, lockable storage box of about 2.8 cubic feet for the space where rear seats would be. Unlike the 2019 911 Speedster, the S/C is not a limited-production car.
The Street Style Package
The S/C is also the first car to get the optional Porsche Street Style Package from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. It adds Pyro Red graphics and PORSCHE lettering on the sides, braided leather seat centers, two-tone Slate Grey and Guards Red upholstery, and a darkened gear lever with an open-pore walnut knob that shows the shift pattern in Pyro Red. Porsche has not printed a separate price for the package in its release.

Porsche says the 911 GT3 S/C is available to order now, with U.S. arrivals expected by fall 2026. If $273,000 is a lot for a soft top, the coupe still offers the stick: we covered the 2026 911 GT3 Touring at $235,800 with a six-speed manual or PDK, the manual-only 2027 911 Carrera T at $148,000, and the 2027 Carrera S Manual at $167,100.
