Subaru’s official 2026 WRX pricing table lists the WRX Series.Yellow at $45,995, plus $1,195 destination and delivery in most states. That’s $1,000 over the WRX tS it’s built on. There’s one transmission on that line of the table: the six-speed manual. Subaru is building just 350 of them, all in Sunrise Yellow.

The clutch: no automatic on the menu
When Subaru announced the car at Boxerfest in September 2025, the launch release put it in the second bullet: the WRX Series.Yellow and its BRZ sibling are “offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.” The 2026 WRX pricing release backs that up trim by trim. The six-speed manual is standard on every 2026 WRX except the GT, and the Subaru Performance Transmission, Subaru’s automatic, is offered only on the Limited and GT. Both the tS and the Series.Yellow appear in the table as 6MT only. Subaru says the manual gets optimized gear ratios, refined shift quality, and incline start assist. For 2026 it also gets EyeSight on manual cars, including adaptive cruise with lane centering. So the most expensive manual WRX you can buy is also the rarest, and you’ll be working the clutch yourself.

What the extra $1,000 buys
Mechanically, the Series.Yellow is a WRX tS. Subaru says it shares the tS suspension and performance hardware, so you get the STI-tuned dampers, the Brembo brakes, and Drive Mode Select. The $1,000 goes to looks. Sunrise Yellow paint, a color Subaru used on the first XV Crosstrek and on the Japan-only BRZ STI Sport and WRX STI S207, comes with matte black 19-inch wheels and black badging. Inside, the Recaro front seats get black Ultrasuede with yellow stitching, and the yellow thread carries over to the floor mats and door panels. Subaru’s WRX features page also mentions yellow accents and a red STI start button.
