Honda Priced the 2026 Civic Hatchback Sport at $27,895 and Left Out the Clutch

Honda priced the 2026 Civic Hatchback Sport at $27,895. That is the starting MSRP on Honda’s September 9, 2026 Civic Hatchback pricing and EPA release. Total Suggested Retail Price is $29,190 with the $1,295 destination charge. Tax, title, license, options, and dealer charges are extra. The same official table pairs that Sport with a 2.0-liter and a continuously variable transmission. No six-speed row. No three pedals.

No clutch in the book

This is the clutch graf, and Honda printed the opposite of a stick. Honda’s 2026 Civic Hatchback specifications list one gearbox story for the gas Sport: Continuously Variable Transmission with paddle shifters. Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid use Honda’s two-motor hybrid system with deceleration selectors — still no manual clutch. The factory sheet does not list a six-speed manual on any hatch trim. If you want three pedals in a compact Honda right now, that story lives on the Civic Si’s exclusive $31,495 clutch (pausing after 2026) and the Civic Type R’s $48,695 stick-only book — not this hatch.

The official number board

Honda’s September 9, 2026 pricing table puts MSRPs (excluding the $1,295 destination charge) at:

  • Civic Hatchback Sport (2.0L / CVT): $27,895 — TSRP $29,190 — EPA 30 city / 38 highway / 34 combined
  • Civic Hatchback Sport Hybrid: $30,595 — TSRP $31,890 — EPA 50 / 45 / 48
  • Civic Hatchback Sport Touring Hybrid: $33,595 — TSRP $34,890 — EPA 50 / 45 / 48

Honda Info Center specs put the gas Sport’s Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter at 150 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 133 lb-ft from 4,000 to 5,000 rpm, with a 6,700-rpm redline and front-wheel drive. The hybrids list 141 horsepower from the engine and 200 total system horsepower. Cargo volume with the rear seat up is 24.5 cubic feet on every hatch trim. Sport curb weight is 2,976 pounds.

Sporty hatch. Automatic-only shifter story.

The hatch still looks the part. Specs call out 18-inch gloss-black alloys on Sport and Sport Hybrid, MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, three drive modes (Econ / Normal / Sport), sport pedals, a leather-wrapped wheel, Honda Sensing, and Blind Spot Information as standard. Sport Touring Hybrid adds a 9-inch touchscreen, 10.2-inch digital cluster, Bose 12-speaker audio, leather-trimmed seats, and a fourth Individual drive mode. None of that puts a clutch pedal on the floor.

The bottom line: $27,895 opens the 2026 Civic Hatchback book, and Honda’s official transmission line for that Sport is CVT with paddles. The Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid rows stay in the two-motor hybrid lane. Three pedals are not on this hatch’s sheet.
