Mazda Priced the 2026 MX-5 Club at $34,230 and Kept Only the Clutch

Mazda now lists the 2026 MX-5 Miata Club soft top at $34,230. That’s the starting price on mazdausa.com, and it lines up with Mazda’s pricing release: $33,930 at the January launch, plus the $300 increase Mazda applied to every 2026 MX-5 on September 15. Add the $1,315 destination charge and a Club starts at $35,545 delivered. Like the Sport, it comes one way only: with a six-speed manual.

The clutch: Club means manual

Mazda’s 2026 MX-5 pricing release says it plainly: “Sport and Club models are exclusively offered with a manual transmission.” The six-speed automatic with paddles exists, but only on the Grand Touring. The price table shows it too. There’s a “Club 6MT” line and no Club automatic line at all. What makes the Club the enthusiast trim is what Mazda bolts around that gearbox: Bilstein dampers, a front shock tower brace, an induction sound enhancer, DSC-Track mode and an asymmetric limited-slip differential. Grand Touring buyers only get that hardware if they also pick the manual. The automatic GT goes without it. The Skyactiv-G 2.0 makes 181 hp at 7,000 rpm and 151 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm, and it revs to a 7,500 rpm redline. So the cheapest way to get the full chassis package is also a car you can only buy with three pedals.

What the $3,500 over a Sport buys

At $34,230, the Club costs $3,500 more than the $30,730 Sport. Besides the suspension and differential, Mazda adds a gloss black front air dam and rear lip spoiler, black metallic 17-inch wheels, a shark fin antenna and a body-color high-mount brake light cover. Inside, you get heated cloth seats with suede inserts, vinyl-leather trim, a piano black seat back bar and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a nine-speaker Bose system with headrest speakers and SiriusXM with a three-month trial.

The $5,050 Brembo/BBS/Recaro Package is offered only on the soft-top Club. It brings Brembo front brakes, red calipers front and rear, dark gunmetal 17-inch BBS forged wheels, heated Recaro sport seats, gloss black side sill extensions and a rear bumper skirt. For 2026 it also adds black Alcantara trim with light gray stitching. Ticking that box puts a soft-top Club at $39,280 before paint and destination. That’s still $2,920 less than the $42,200 RF Club, which includes the package as standard.

So it’s $34,230 for a roadster with Bilsteins, a limited-slip differential and a 7,500 rpm redline, and Mazda won’t sell you that soft-top Club with anything but a clutch pedal. Autogonzo has already covered the MX-5 Sport, which launched at $30,430, and the $38,750 MX-5 RF Grand Touring. The Club sits between them.
